Synchronized Swimming

I know I've been absent from this for the last few days but I'm sure you all survived except my mom maybe ;). Sunday I went to Stake Conference but it was in French and the headsets that were translating it were all being used so I sat there for two hours and got maybe every fifth word...

Monday I had class then lunch with my girls. I went swimming by myself which was nice because I did more laps than usual. No hot swim teacher though... BUMMER! I went to Enrique's later that night after dinner and hung out.

Tuesday I slept in then picked up the girls for lunch. I drove them back down afterward and went swimming with Alisha and Enrique.

Wednesday I was home all day with the kids then made dinner while Sophie was out for her Catholic school class.

Today I had my French class then went swimming with Alisha and Juliana after lunch. The hot swim teacher was there again so needless to say I didn't get many laps in because I was staring (probably with my mouth wide open). Happy Thanksgiving by the way! We are celebrating on Saturday so that should be fun. I made dinner tonight after helping Ariadne write a poem for her English homework. But I better getting eating so I can call mom and see if this webcam thing will work. I'm sure everyone is loving their Thanksgivings!! Be thankful =D

Goddess of Dance

Wednesday was busy but I stayed at home most of the day. At one point a little boy came over for me to watch and then his sister came back with the older girls, so it was a bit hectic. I fed the kids dinner while the adults talked (which I cooked by the way and it turned out pretty well). I went and hung out with Juliana and we watched a few movies then I came home.

Thursday the elementary school teachers were on strike so the girls went to friends' houses for the morning while I was in class then we had lunch and went to the pool with Alisha and two of her kids. Oh my gosh I saw THE cutest swim teacher!! First off he was tall, dark and handsome and on top of THAT!! he was the swim teacher for the 3 and 4 year olds! I seriously melted!! It was so freaking adorable!! Of course I didn't talk to him but I wanted to so bad! But we had a lot of fun at the pool and Ines lost her swim cap at the bottom of the deep pool haha. Alisha and I taught the girls how to chicken fight in the pool and we decided when we swim with the kids we need to wear wetsuits so that they stay on and we don't end up flashing half the community!! After that I brought the girls home and we were all very tired but homework had to be done. We ate dinner then I was able to go out. I headed over to Juliana and Enrique's. We all hung out and eventually watched Mamma Mia. Juliana fell asleep after the first five minutes. So she went to bed and then Enrique and I ended up staying up until 4:30 a.m. talking.

Yesterday after I woke up I hung out at their house for a while until Juliana had to work. I went home and took a shower and got a few things done. I went back over there at about six. Enrique went out with some friends so Juliana and I had dinner by ourselves and talked while we waited for Alisha to call us and tell us she was ready. So we picked Alisha up eventually. We came back to the house to finish getting ready to go to Bypass to go dancing. We get there and they wouldn't let Juan in because of his shoes!! It was sooo lame! So we went all the way back to Ferney and Juliana had remembered about this club near there so we went there. First off it was this little tiny place, secondly, not a soul was dancing. But after a while people started dancing and we ended up having a ton of fun. At one point I walked passed this guy and he literally fell to his knees and bowed to me! NO lie!! I was like what on earth?!?!? Crazy people! We got back to their house at about 4 a.m. and went to bed.

Today I woke up and it was snowing. I walked into talk to Enrique and saw it out his window. The flakes were HUGE! But it didn't last long and it didn't stick but it was still exciting! I cooked eggs for everyone when Juliana woke up and we all just hung out for a while. Alisha and I left at about 3 this afternoon. I didn't sleep very well last night so when I got home I took a nap and then went to meet a lady who wants me to babysit. Now I'm doing this then headed to babysit for another family. Night!

Swimming Injuries

Yesterday morning was French of course and it was pretty entertaining as always. The girls were really great for lunch and that was WONDERFUL! I took them back to school and took a brief nap and picked them up after school. The girls and I played in my room for a while until Sophie came home. Enrique wanted some of my music so I told him I'd come over and he could get it from my computer so I went over there after eating a brief dinner. When I got there his dad was cooking curry chicken that smelled SOOOOO good. So he let me taste it and then we were looking through his Thai cookbook he had brought back from Thailand last week. He's going to cook me duck for my birthday since I've never had it =D. So Enrique and I hung out for a while and attempted to watch a movie but it was skipping so we played cards for a bit and the by 12:30 a.m. Juliana came home. The three of us were just hanging out and chatting and then they attacked me and tickled me until I about peed my pants!!! It was pretty funny. Well 3:30 rolled around and I still hadn't left so I just stayed the night in Enrique's bed. And he slept on the couch of course. It was pretty sweet of him.

I woke up at about 10:30 and headed home so I could pick the girls up for lunch. Lunch was a bit rough because Ines hates going to her English class on Tuesday afternoons but it was ok. After I took them back to school I picked up Alisha and we picked up Enrique and Juliana and the four of us went swimming. We had a lot of fun and I somehow hurt my neck so it's a bit painful now but I'm surviving of course. But I need to go read to the girls and head to Enrique's. Night!!

Sunday Renewment

Friday night babysitting was fine. Alisha, Juliana and I did go to Geneva to go dancing. It was pretty fun. Danced with a guy name Victor from Portugal who was nice and fun. We got back to Juliana's and Alisha and I decided to just stay the night there since it was 5:30 a.m. We slept on the couches and when their parents woke up they said we could go sleep in their bed! It was sooooo sweet! And their bed was so comfortable! At about noon we finally decided to get out of bed and get on with the day. Enrique was kinda surprised to see us haha. After eating brunch Alisha and I back to Thoiry. I dropped her off and then took a shower, picked her up and went back to Juliana's and the three of us went shopping. I bought a really, really cute jacket, a pair of sneakers and a cute pair of boots. Very successful shopping trip! After that we went to a movie but it had already started when we got there so we went back to Juliana's to eat but the pizza place was closed so we went back to Balexert and had a pizza there. Then we watched Quantum of Solace (in English thankfully). It was a pretty good movie. We took her home and went up to get water and say hi to Enrique, who really liked my new coat. I got home and then emailed my mommy and went to bed.

Today I wore my new boots of course. I picked up my home teacher Jason for church. In Sacrement meeting the little kids did their program and it was so sweet! I love these Sundays. It sure made me miss my nieces and nephews though! Relief society was a good one like always. There was a lady there who was pregnant and due in March just like my sister in laws and that made me sad because she was already getting so big and I'm gonna miss seeing my two sister in laws pregnant together and rubbing their bellies and taking pictures. I think pregnant women are so beautiful! But it was good. Afterward I had been invited, along with a few other young adults, to a ladies house for lunch. I really enjoy my other home teacher Samuel. He's really funny and we have a lot in common. He really reminds me of my brothers and I think that's why I enjoy him so much. Lunch was absolutely amazing. After lunch I had to take some people back to the church and then my home teachers home taught me haha. It was a wonderful lesson by Samuel. The more he talked the more I realized we are so alike. He's a great guy and the Spirit was so strong. I love days like today!!! But now I'm home for pretty much the first time this weekend. We're gonna eat dinner soon and then watch Ghandi. Good night!

I LOVE Fridays!!

Last night I took Maurine home and read her some stories in French. Well more like she tutored me and assisted me with my pronunciation. Her dad got home about 45 minutes late so I didn't head to Juliana's until almost ten but since I have Fridays off it wasn't a big deal. We watched The Accidental Husband. I loved it!!! Enrique watched some of it with us too. No matter what happens with Enrique or whenever he erks me I always end up really glad he's home or hanging out with us. He just makes me laugh and I really appreciate that. That is one thing I really miss about being so far from Travis haha. Anyways so I stayed there until about 2 a.m. and drove home under the full moon. It was such a gorgeous night!! At one point I turned my lights off and drove by moonlight momentarily but not long.

Today I slept in a bit but didn't make it as late as I had hoped. I got up at about 9:30 and had some pasta for breakfast and got in the shower. I love Fridays because I have the house all to myself all day. I took about a 45 minute shower probably because I had to shave my legs and that shower is a standing shower so I don't fit that well when I'm trying to shave my legs. So I left the house at noon and went to Enrique's house. We were supposed to leave when I got there but he was still eating so we hung out for a bit and just listened to music. I love music! His taste in music is almost identical to mine, as well as his appreciation for good music. Not saying I'm some music guru but I don't let my taste be shaped solely on what is currently popular. I have a very wide range of likes. So anyways, we left his house and went to the pool. We met Juliana there and we all tried out the diving board and I did some water aerobics and we just had a good time. Afterward we went back to their house and had some lunch and watched Hancock. I came home and now I'm headed to babysit at 8 (about 15 minutes) then Alisha, Juliana and I are going dancing =D!! Bonsoir!!

The Thursday Downer

Today was the beloved French class. I really do like it. It's my day to kinda dress up because I don't have to walk up and down the hill as much and I get to see people haha so I usually curl my hair. It was a good class. I'm learning more and I like that. I'm so excited to eventually be fluent!! I'll have to get a French boyfriend to teach me! I'd probably pay more attention. I think I spend too much time laugh at Enrique than actually paying attention. Which brings me to the downer. It's not a big one just kinda bummed me out I guess. And they are dumb reasons too. So he had a lunch date with a girl he had told me about already but for some reason it just kinda made me sad. I mean, yes, I like him but I know we aren't going to date or anything and that's fine, he's not Mormon and lots of other reasons but it still just kinda made me sad. But anyways I came home and fed the girls then took them back to school and came home and fooled with my music. I'm so sick of the internet automatically taking me to French websites! Like with my itunes I can't purchase any music with my American debit card because the address doesn't match but if I change the address it will charge me in euros and that is more expensive and so it was just erking me! So I took a nap and that was nice because it's a cold day and sleep drowns out the rest of the day =D. I picked up Ariadne and her friend Maurine from school and now we're home. I'll take Maurine home after dinner and get her ready for bed and wait for her dad to come home and then possibly go to Ferney to hang with Juliana later tonight. Je ne sais pas! I'm sure I'll let you know what I end up doing haha. I'm supposed to go swimming with Enrique tomorrow which I don't know why I invited him, because I don't really want him to see me in a swimsuit!! DUMB HEAD! A tout a l'heure!

Welcome to Wednesday everyone! I got to sleep in just a little bit thankfully but have been pretty tired the last few days. Ines, Aurore and I walked down to take Ines to her music class and pick up Ariadne. While we waited for Ines to get done we went with Alisha and her kids to feed the cows. They weren't very friendly so didn't come eat the carrots we had brought. When Ines was done the four of us walked back home and got ready for lunch with Sophie. Lunch was a bit of a nightmare but we all got through it. There was a glass broken and a lot of crying over nothing. I was quite tempted to leave the table and eat later but I didn't want to be that rude. I took a brief nap while Aurore was asleep but it was short lived. After that the girls did some homework and then Sophie took Ariadne to a class and I gave the other two a bath. Yes my day was extremely exciting as you can tell!! I made dinner while Sophie was teaching a bible class, we ate and now I'm really bored and will probably go to sleep early =D.

Oh so about the unconscious singing. Apparently I sing all the time without really realizing it. When we were in Amsterdam it happen more than once. So at one point I turned to Enrique, after busting out in song because he had said something that made me start singing, "I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you..." and I ask, "Was I singing out loud again?" He just smiles and says, "Yep" "Dang it!!" It was pretty funny. So we were talking last night about it and it was cute because he thinks I can sing HAHAHA! I think he needs to get his ears checked! Anyways it made me smile at least. I guess now I have to find something to do for the next few hours so I don't get too much sleep. Nighty night!

Amsterdam

Friday morning approached earlier than I had wanted only because I went to bed late but I still woke up on time and met Alisha at her house at about 6:45 a.m. We went to Ferney to pick up Enrique, Juliana and Juan. They had a cooler of food and that was pretty exciting haha. We said goodbye to their mom and headed out. We got about 10 minutes down the road and Juliana had forgotten her passport so we had to turn around, almost killed a squirrel but eventually got on the road. Alisha and Juan were asleep by the time we got to Bellegarde, which is only about 20 minutes away. Enrique was a great co-pilot/dj. He and I had so much fun this weekend together. We stopped to use the bathroom or get food or gas about every two hours or so. We drove through France then Luxembourg then Belgium and then into Holland. The trip took a total of 10.5 hours. Thankfully we had the GPS! We checked into the hostel and thought it would only be the five of us in one room but there was another guy, in his forties probably, from Phoenix that was in there too. He was a pretty cool guy from what we saw. We didn't see him much. So we went out to check out the time. We took the bus downtown and saw so many beautiful buildings! The canals were so pretty but they were a bit confusing because all the bridges looked the same confused us quite a bit. We wanted to go dancing but never found a place to go so we just walked around a bit and then went back to the hostel because it was late.

The next day we slept in and had breakfast at the hostel. Across the street there was a flea market that we walked through and I bought a really cute purse for only 5 euros!!! Everything was so much cheaper there than in France and Switzerland! We walked around town for the day and walked to the Van Gogh Museum and had lunch at a little shop. We took an afternoon nap then went to a pizza place for dinner. After that we went back downtown and did some shopping. I bought some really cute slippers than are shaped like the wooden ones they have there, a ring, a keychain and I think that's it. We all just had a really good time hanging out together! It was a very relaxed vacation that was well deserved! I loved how all the streets were paved with brick. Don't worry we didn't even go near the red light district. So we left yesterday morning and made the 10.5 hour trip home. I drove the whole way there and the whole way back. There was a leaf that stuck on my wiper the whole way there and half the way back. I start to get a bit crazy when I drive for that long haha. But all in all it was a great trip!!! We got back to Enrique's house and his parents had made us dinner and so they heated it back up and fed us. It was really sweet! We stayed there for a short bit then went came home. I dropped Alisha off and then came home and showered and went to bed.

Today I've had my French class so far. Enrique didn't show up like he said he would so I had to answer all the questions about Amsterdam by myself. I picked up the girls for lunch and then we skipped all the way down to school, very tiring! Now I'm just gonna relax and get a few things done and pick them up from school. Later!

Good Morning Headache

Sunday was relaxing, I got to sleep in then take a bath. We went to lunch at this African restaurant in Paris then went back to her mother's house. I watched the kids while some of the adults took care of some things at another house.

Monday we had a brunch then packed up the car to head back to Thoiry. The girls were getting on my nerves but we all survived the trip. I took a shower and headed over to Enrique and Juliana's. I watched a movie with them and we ate some oranges and just played around.

Tuesday I had the oldest girls all day because it is still school vacation until tomorrow. The morning was a bit rough but the afternoon was better. I had them do homework before lunch then we ate and they played for a bit and did a some more homework until their friends came over. So they played with their friends and I got to watch a movie by myself. It was pretty nice but I got bored. After dinner Dimitri fixed the stereo in my car. YAY!!! After that I headed over to Enrique and Juliana's to hang. Mary Poppins was on TV so we watched that for a while which brought back memories of Grandma Anderson's house. I left at about a quarter to midnight then called mom and papa when I got home. We talked for about forty-five minutes then I took a shower and went to bed.

This morning I woke up and had a bit of a headache so I ate breakfast and told the girls I would be in my bed, with my door open and would still be awake if they needed me. I was laying there and Ines came in and said she had a headache too so I let her get in bed with me and called for Ariadne and Aurore. So all four of us laid in my bed for about an hour playing and drawing letters on each other's backs. It was so fun!! So it was a really good morning. Aurore is getting sick I think because she has been very cranky for the most part today but when we were in bed she was really sweet and then at lunch she was too. Her favorite word in English is "Woah!" She loves when I say that and she always repeats it and just giggles! I let Ines draw on my back with markers and she had fun with that. We had lunch and now Ines is doing homework and I'm assisting Ariadne with her English story and about to put Aurore down for her nap =D. See ya later!

Please Don't Spit On Me!

Saturday started at the museum. There was a nose exhibit that was pretty interesting. I stayed with the family for a while but then their cousins finally made it and we had pretty much already seen the whole exhibit so I went to walk around Paris on my own. I was walking along and saw a guy that looked like my friend Lauren Bleggi's dad and then I realized it was and her mom too! They were in a car so I was waving but they never saw me. It was so crazy! I bought a nutella and banana crepe at this little stand. It was so funny because the two ladies working the stand were singing their hearts out to this French song and I was cracking up! It was a good taste of Paris. I was in search of a hat that I knew I could get really cheap in Paris so I walked down this street that Sophie said would probably have one of the cheap souvenir shops. Well it didn't so I ended up walking to the Eiffel Tower then back toward Notre Dame which was closer to where I started in the first place. As I was walking I got to see most of Paris which was nice and some guy almost did a farmers blow on me. (He blew snot out his nostril while holding the other one shut, just in case you were wondering.) He felt pretty bad when he realized I was right there but I just laughed. Why is it that the weirdest things happen to me with the cutest guy?!?!? So anyways all of this walking took about four and a half hours. I walked around Paris by myself to find a HAT! My feet were KILLING me! I got on the metro and headed back to Sophie's brother's house where we waited for the kids to finish eating and then the adults started dinner around 8:30 and didn't finish until 10:30!! It was crazy. It's still really hard for me to take that long to eat! We came home and I went to bed and slept pretty well. It seems like I've been having a lot of dreams here. Maybe it's because I get more sleep haha! Well I better get going. Oh here are the pictures from the day =D!
